This is a great place to tell your story and give people more insight into who you are, what you do, and why it’s all about you.
Teens in Progress (TIP) is an non-profit organizations of teens and young adults ages 13-25, with a junior division of youth ages 8-12. Currently the organization has over 100 applications which 40 to 50 are active (meeting regularly). TIP approaches youth development from the perspective of the youth. Fortunately, we find that our youth do understand they are a vital part of creating a healthy and progressive community. Our planning sessions and implementation reflect the aspirations of our teen members and naturally range widely in focus; yet maintain alignment with our overall organizational purpose; progress for teens by teens.
As stated on our member application: The teens members in progress, are teens with big ideas. We area are a team of active and positive youth and young adults. We have turned our attention away negative influences and towards bringing out the best in ourselves and each other. As a team we coordinate events, programs, and activities that serve to uplift our community, strengthen our peer bonds, and increase our sense of self. We make a special effort to attend, participate, and volunteer at events and programs through out New York State. If you would to progress from the resources and experiences we offer.

Guess what? There are resources for us teens available. But please, those resources aren't going come knocking on your door. To get what you need you have to track (pause..scratch that) chase them down. There is no better way to cover the most ground, then to get you there with TIP. Since 2009 we've tapped into the city's resources and become respected by the people who have opportunities.
Regardless what people say, THERE IS ENOUGH TO GO AROUND!

Go somewhere new, talk to someone different, see something you never seen before. TIP brings you in contact with people, places, and things that will engage you in inspiring new experiences, putting you in a position to compete in the rapidly changing world.

Now that TIP has pointed you to the resources and you've expanded your experience of the world around you, it's time for you to change the game. TIP moves the way the teens say to move. Come up with new ways to get yourself and the rest of our peers out of the box. Matter of fact...crush the joint. It's not helping any of us. We must use what we have to create the world we want.
